SitSignal Protect is still in development. Some sitters choose optional third‑party insurance through Pet Care Insurance (PCI) for professional liability and pet‑in‑care coverage. This is optional and not provided or managed by SitSignal.

SitSignal Protect Plus
Client monthly pet coverage
- Coverage during any SitSignal booking (when active)
- Emergency vet visits during sits
- Pet-caused property damage + liability during bookings
- Limited at-home coverage outside of bookings (proposed)
Two pets: $24.99 / month
Three to four pets: $34.99 / month
If Protect Plus is active, all SitSignal bookings are automatically covered and no additional insurance is shown at checkout.
SitSignal Protect Stay
Per-booking coverage
- Coverage applies only to the selected booking window
- Pet injury/illness during booking + emergency vet care
- Pet-caused property damage + liability coverage during the stay
- Booking marked as “Protected” for both client and sitter

Sitters with active Protect Pro coverage receive a verification badge on their profile.
Coverage priority logic
Only one coverage applies to any booking to avoid overlap.
1) Protect Plus
If a client has Protect Plus, that coverage applies first.
2) Protect Stay
If not, per-booking Protect Stay coverage applies if purchased.
3) Protect Pro
If neither client option is active, sitter Protect Pro coverage applies.

SitSignal acts as a marketplace facilitator and embedded insurance administrator. SitSignal does not pay claims, determine coverage eligibility, or act as an insurer. All claims, underwriting, and compliance are handled by licensed insurance partners.
