There are four parts to the sitter activation flow. Once identity and payouts are complete, your account can move forward.

Add your services, service area, and rates so clients have clear expectations of the structured care you offer.

Complete the one-time $5 payment that covers the direct cost of identity verification and protects the community.

Submit your government-issued ID through Stripe so SitSignal can confirm you are a verified provider before bookings begin.

Link the bank account where you want to receive booking payouts and complete the payout onboarding flow.

Stripe Connect is the payout system SitSignal uses to send earnings to your bank account and support marketplace payment workflows reliably.
No. Sensitive identity and payout information is processed by Stripe. SitSignal only receives the verification and account status needed to activate your profile.
No. Because structured, accountable pet care requires trust, identity verification is strictly required before sitters can accept bookings.
Stripe may occasionally review a submission manually. If it still looks stuck after about 24 hours, contact support for fast, human assistance.
Matching emails: Use the same email address for SitSignal and Stripe whenever possible.
Complete both phases: You need both Stripe Identity and Stripe Connect finished before bookings and payouts can be activated.
Retry from status: If document upload or verification fails, restart the process from the status dashboard.
